Lt. Carolyn Anderson
Madison County
CME Federal Credit Union and Sunny 95 – Columbus, OH are proud to announce this month’s Hometown Hero, Lt. Carolyn Anderson!
Ms. Anderson is both a Lieutenant and Paramedic for Madison County Emergency Medical District and has worked for the district for 17 years. In celebration of National EMS Week, Lt. Anderson showed her willingness to be EMS STRONG by going above and beyond in the line of duty!
In May of 2013 the MCEMD was dispatched to the scene of a tractor trailer that rolled over due to a storm in Madison County. The driver was pinned in the cab of the vehicle, breathing poorly, and was in a position in which space was very limited. While the Fire Department and the rest of the MCEMD crew members worked to open the cab, Lt. Anderson was able to administer medical treatment on the driver and saving his life.
Lt. Anderson was honored this morning in front of current and former members of her District, as well as the driver of the tractor trailer and his wife.
