Congratulations to our November Hometown Hero, Matt Freedman. In 2014, Matt started “Fry Out Cancer” in the backyard of his home. Since then, “Fry Out Cancer” has raised more than $83,000 for the Pediatric Brain Cancer Research Fund and the Ovarian Cancer Research and Education Fund in gynecology at OSUCCC-James. Fry out cancer not only raises funds for cancer research but also provides turkeys to organizations that feed families in need. Matt has founded an incredible organization that gives in so many ways, from the money raised, to the turkeys donated to the people experiencing the true meaning of thanksgiving by giving back.
