Congratulations to our August Hometown Hero, David Scheffler! David has given back and served our community and country through volunteerism, mentoring, serving in the military, and more. He is an Army veteran who went on to be a successful businessman. As a CPA and partner in a regional CPA firm, he has helped many businesses thrive throughout the years.
The City of Lancaster has been lucky to have David “retire” in our community and take on the position as the Director of Destination Downtown Lancaster and our Special Improvement District. He has helped countless small businesses located in our downtown make our local community their home, giving back to the residents of Lancaster. He sits on numerous boards and has recently been the driving source to bring attention to the “arts” in our downtown area. David volunteers countless hours assisting others making our Main Street an area that all of the citizens of Lancaster can be proud.
